Sharma said observing Vigilance Awareness Week every year helped in creating greater sensitivity among the employees, and the general public, about the need for ethics and transparency in personal and professional domains. He encouraged all to be part of the participatory vigilance initiatives in the fight against corruption.

S Marasamy, Executive Director (Civil Contracts), administered the integrity pledge to the employees.

The integrity pledge was also administered to the employees at various offices and projects of SJVN across the nation, and abroad.

SJVN is also observing a three-month awareness campaign (from August 16 to November 15), focusing on preventive vigilance measures. During Vigilance Awareness Week, various in-house and outreach activities such as quiz, painting, rangoli, ‘nukkad natak’ and declamation competitions for employees, students and locals will be organised in all projects and offices of SJVN.

The objective of these programmes is to create awareness and disseminate the message of a corruption-free India for the development of the nation.
