Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has been honoured with the prestigious Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) Eminence Award in the category of Human Resource Management.

The award was presented by President Droupadi Murmu to Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN, and Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, at a ceremony organised by SCOPE in New Delhi on Friday. Nearly 200 organisations competed across various award categories.

Congratulating employees, CMD Bhupender Gupta said the recognition reflects SJVN’s progressive and people-centric HR practices and its commitment to employee development.

“This award is an affirmation of our resolve to cultivate a performance-driven, inclusive and future-ready work culture. Our robust HR strategies — covering employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, diversity and inclusion and well-being initiatives — have significantly enhanced both organisational performance and employee satisfaction,” he said.

Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma added that such awards inspire SJVN to continue its journey as a transformational and future-ready organisation. He highlighted that comprehensive benefit schemes and wellness programmes have strengthened employee morale and overall job satisfaction.

Formed in 1973, SCOPE is the apex body of public sector enterprises (PSEs) and confers the Eminence Awards to honour organisations excelling in diverse areas of management and governance.
