As many as 2,000 women would be trained through skill development programmes in the district, said Naveen Sharma, state coordinator, Skill Development Corporation, here today. He said the training would be given free of cost.

Sharma said women would be trained in skills such as mushroom production, handloom and handicraft, beautician training, making of pickle and jams. He said the training would be provided on the premises of the Him Aanchal Education and Welfare Society here. He urged the women to participate in the training programmes as it would not only provide them knowledge but also improve their income.
