An NGO donated a smartphone to a meritorious girl of Gandhi Nagar area of Kullu town yesterday.

Kullu Kar Sewa Dal and Prayas Foundation, welfare associations, have so far given 40 smartphones to the meritorious students of the poor families for attending online classes amid the Covid-19 outbreak in the district since last year.

Kar Sewa Dal president said the smartphone was provided to a meritorious girl as her father died a few years ago and after that her mother struggling to earn livelihood.
