On the occasion of International Snakebite Awareness Day, the Health and Family Welfare Department, Chamba, organised a district-level awareness camp at Shakuntla Memorial Nursing College, Sarol.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Bipen Thakur said the primary objective of the camp was to spread awareness about proper care and management in snakebite cases. The session focused on identifying symptoms of snakebite, first aid measures and medical management. Nursing students were provided with essential knowledge to effectively respond to snakebite incidents and care for patients.
