The Pinegrove School has announced a scholarship supported by the Sir Sobha Singh Public Charitable Trust, with the backing of Perminder Singh and his daughter Amba Singh, an accomplished special educator in New York, both alumni of The Lawrence School, Sanawar.

Under the initiative, the trust will sponsor residential school education for two deserving children from the economically weaker sections of Himachal Pradesh. One child is a flood victim’s orphaned daughter. The other is a girl from a government school in the district.

Expected to be provided for a decade, the sponsorship will cover tuition, boarding and ancillary expenses. The trust has also expressed interest in supporting uniform costs for other EWS girls and orphans enrolled at the school.
