The solar-powered smart classrooms will facilitate education using innovative technology. Luminous Power Technologies has provided their support to the initiative under the Corporate Social Responsibility scheme, bringing the total number of such schools in the region to 21.

Additionally, a three-day personality development training workshop for students and teachers is being organised in these schools by Art of Living trainers.

Himalayan Development Mission community coordinator Sunil Prakash said under the Model Village Development Programme, which was underway in the valley since last year, modern technology would be incorporated in the curriculum to provide holistic education to students. He said the setup had been established in three schools in the first phase and more schools would be added to the list based on the success of the initiative.

Art of Living media coordinator Manuj Sharma said the organisation was making significant strides in implementing such projects across the country, offering encouragement to thousands of students.
