Solan girls shine at CBSE athletics meet

In individual events, Ishroop Saini clinched the gold medal in the 100m race, while Riddhi Kaushal secured gold in the 400 m race. The duo, along with Mehak and Arunima Thakur, won the silver medal in the 4x100 m relay, while Ishroop added a bronze in long jump and Divya earned a bronze in the 800 m race.
With their stellar performances, Ishroop Saini and Riddhi Kaushal have qualified for the National Athletics Meet at Varanasi, a proud milestone for both the athletes and the school. The Principal congratulated the achievers, encouraging them to aim higher, while the school management praised their dedication and relentless spirit.
In another significant event, the school hosted Colonel Rajeev Thomas, Commanding Officer of 1 HP Battalion NCC, Solan. The officer was warmly welcomed and felicitated by the school management and ANO Radhika Minhas for his exemplary service to the nation.
Addressing the students, Col Thomas lauded the cadets’ discipline and enthusiasm, urging them to embrace the values of courage, leadership and selfless service. His inspiring words instilled pride and responsibility among the students, motivating them to walk the path of discipline, patriotism and nation-building. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the young cadets with renewed commitment and motivation.
