Solan, Sirmaur report 29 new coronavirus cases

Solan reported 25 new cases and Sirmaur recorded four—-a developments that come on a day when the central government released its third set of guidelines to restart activities down because of global pandemic in March.
Solan’s 25 new cases included two children ages 3 and 7. Three doctors from MMU Medical College, Sultanpur, a policeman from Baddi and six migrants from Chhattisgarh who had entered the area without permission were in a bus their local contractor had provided were among those testing positive.
About 22 of 25 cases came from Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh industrial area, where there are quarantine centres at Sandholi, Baddi, Barotiwala, Bhatolikalan and Jhiriwala.
The developments took the district’s tally to 593, Solan Medical Officer Dr NK Gupta.
All patients have been taken to Covid care centres, he said.
In Sirmaur, two women from Govindgarh Mohalla at Nahan and two from Paonta Sahib tested positive. Those testing positive included a 14-year-old girl.
The district tally now stands at 304.
