In a shocking incident from the Drobdi village of Drubbal panchayat under Jogindernagar subdivision of Mandi district, a man killed his father in a fit of rage last night. The accused, identified as Mukesh, was arrested by police shortly after the incident.

According to police reports, an argument broke out between the father and son late at night, which escalated into violence. Mukesh allegedly attacked his 65-year-old father, Pratap Singh, a retired employee of the Jal Shakti Department, with a sharp object. Pratap Singh sustained serious injuries and succumbed while being taken to the hospital by family members.

Following the complaint by the deceased’s wife, Nagan Devi, an FIR was registered against Mukesh at Jogindernagar police station under murder charges. The body was taken into custody and kept at Jogindernagar hospital for post-mortem.

Mandi SP Sakshi Verma, confirmed the incident and the arrest of the accused. The motive behind the crime is still under investigation, the SP said.
