The local administration on Wednesday set up special public counters on the entrance of the mini secretariat here. While inagurating these counters, SDM Surinder Thakur said after unlock 1, the necessity of such counters was felt to maintain social distancing of visitors.

He said these counters would ease rush on the premises as maximum revenue-related works would be done on the ground floor itself. “The visitors would not need to go upstairs for their office works as these counters will render the requisite services to them at the enterance of the building. The aged and disabled persons will also be benefitted with these counters,” he said.

The counters would also issue all types of certificates to the resients, Thakur added. — OC
