Industry, Parliamentary Affairs and Labour and Employment Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan today directed the officials to expedite construction of the medical device park in Nalagarh while inspecting its progress today.

“ The upcoming medical device park in Nalagarh will generate large scale employment to the youth,”he stated.

The park is being constructed at a cost of about Rs 350 crore at Gheed and Teliwal villages of Gram Panchayat Manjholi of Nalagarh sub-division. Coming up on 1,623 bigha land, about Rs 83.39 cr was spent on levelling the land while Rs 31.35 cr were being spent on construction of roads, Rs 12.46 crore on drainage work, Rs 25.05 crore on power distribution network while Rs 7.79 crore were being incurred on providing water supply to the park.

“Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) area has created its own special identity as an industrial area in the country. About 35 per cent of Asia’s medicines are being produced in this region,”he stated.
