Some private buses plying in Shimla do not seem to care at all for speed limits. Just to get ahead of other bus and pick up more passengers, drivers often put the safety of passengers travelling in their buses at grave risk. The police should take strict note of this matter and issue challans against erring drivers.

Traffic woes in Kasumpti Market

The constant experimentation in the traffic layout in Kasumpti Market done in hopes of having some relief from its ever-rising traffic woes is yet to lead to any fruitful result. Pedestrians and drivers are greatly inconvenienced while crossing the narrow passage near Laxmi Narayan Mandir. On this stretch, alternative one-way moment, regulated by traffic lights, must be given a try. This would ease congestion and save commuters’ precious time and fuel.
