Spring & LitFest at Shoolini: A celebration of literature & music

The second day of Spring & LitFest at Shoolini University featured engaging conversations with renowned personalities from literature, music, theater, and management.

Ambassador Vikas Swarup, best known for his novel Q&A, which inspired the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, engaged in a discussion with Prof Atul Khosla, Prof Ashish Khosla, and Ambassador Sanjiv Arora. He shared experiences from his tenure as India’s High Commissioner to Canada and as the official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs. Swarup reflected on his transition from diplomacy to writing, emphasising how literature enables him to tell compelling stories about India’s social realities. His other works, including The Girl with the Seven Lines, further showcase his storytelling brilliance.

Legendary actress and singer Ila Arun discussed her four-decade journey in cinema, music, and theater with Anjula Bedi. Known for songs like Choli Ke Peeche and Ringa Ringa, she spoke passionately about storytelling and her latest book, Parde Ke Peechhe, inspired by her theater experiences.

Prof Radhakrishnan Pillai, in conversation with Dr. Kunwar Siddharth Dadhwal, captivated the audience with insights on Chanakya’s teachings in contemporary management. He emphasized ethical leadership and strategic thinking, leaving attendees with valuable lessons on management and personal growth.

The day was a celebration of literature, music, and wisdom, offering deep insights and inspiration to all present.
