The selected team will represent the state in the Senior National Volleyball Competition to be held in Jaipur from January 7-13. The trials were conducted again as some players alleged that favourites were given a place in the team.

Initially, the players registered their protest through social media, and then complained about it to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. The Sports Department then cancelled the trials, and conducted fresh trials.
