A few places in the state would receive intense rain over the next few hours on Tuesday. Steady rainfall has continued for the last two hours in Shimla and several other parts of Himachal Pradesh.

As per the weather department, light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning is likely at many places in the districts of Bilaspur, Una, Hamirpur, Solan and Kangra.

Light rainfall is likely at a few places in the districts of Kullu, Mandi, Shimla and Solan over the next few hours.

Meanwhile, 75 roads were shut across the state for traffic, including 34 roads in Shimla. The obstructions would hit the transportation of apple to the mandis as the harvest season is on in full swing.

Besides, 43 power distribution transformers were also disrupted.
