Prof HM Suryavanshi, director of the NIT, confirmed that a student had reportedly committed suicide in the institute. Meanwhile, in 2023, another student allegedly died due to an overdose of a drug. The death of one more student in the NIT today has once again raised several questions on the security and safety of students. SP Bagat Singh Thakur here said that the police has registered a case and initiated a probe into the matter.
