Pathania expressed happiness over the growing interest of youth in democratic processes, stating that such enthusiasm reflected a bright future for Indian democracy. He said that the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha were the highest temples of democracy, where the country’s direction and policies were shaped. Emphasising that only the Parliament and state assemblies held the authority to make laws under the Constitution, he explained how members of both Houses were elected by voters.

He reminded the students of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters, due to whom India enjoyed its democratic rights. Pathania also briefed them on the day’s proceedings and invited them to observe the session, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
