Dayanand Public School, Shimla, organised a special programme to commemorate Himachal Day. The event aimed at showcasing the state’s rich culture, heritage and glorious history. Students presented speeches, group songs, plays and solo performances, highlighting the state’s history, culture and traditions. Himachal Day, which falls on April 15, is celebrated in advance by schools as April 15 is a holiday in the state.

School Principal Anupam emphasised the importance of state’s cultural traditions, language, attire, cuisine and folk songs. She encouraged students to preserve their heritage and promote the state’s unity and integrity.

Students performed traditional Himachali songs, highlighting the state’s rich cultural heritage. They also showcased their acting skills, depicting various aspects of state’s culture and traditions.
