A comprehensive mock drill was carried out across all subdivisions of Shimla district as part of the 9th state-level mega mock exercise. The operation aimed to evaluate disaster preparedness and response mechanisms in the region.

At Vikas Nagar and Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Portmore, drills simulated a fire accident at a petrol station and a building collapse, respectively. Another mock exercise at Kalighat, Sunni, simulated flash floods that partially damaged seven pucca houses and completely destroyed five kacha houses.

In Theog subdivision, a drill at Chhaidala simulated a landslide that entirely damaged two pucca houses. Thirty-two individuals were rescued from the site.

In Kotkhai subdivision, a mock drill took place at the Himachal Pradesh Transport Corporation bus stand, simulating a landslide that damaged the facility. Four buses were safely relocated.
