The Holi Utsav committee organised various sports events, including volleyball, kabaddi, basketball, wrestling and boxing today. Notably, boxing was introduced for the first time in the festival’s history.

Executive Officer Ajmer Singh Thakur inaugurated the women’s boxing championship at the festival arena today. He emphasised that sports contribute to both physical health and mental well-being and that they help keep youth away from drugs. He also noted that the inclusion of women in boxing would encourage more girls to take up the sport and boost their confidence.
