The CM said the decision to open online bookings for PWD Rest Houses had resulted in revenue generation as the PWD had earned Rs 2 crore in four months, from June to October 10, 2025. “The bookings in the PWD Rest Houses were not easily accessible to the common man earlier but since the formation of our government, the booking for all the Rest Houses have been made online benefitting people,” he said.
Sukhu said that bookings were being done on ‘first come, first served’ basis and confirmed immediately. Since June this year, 276 Rest Houses and 1,000 rooms were being made available daily through online mode to the people on 50 per cent advance basis, which is Rs 250 per Himachali and Rs 500 for non Himachali.
Prior to June 2025, the bookings of PED Rest Houses were done offline but since June 2025, the bookings were made online.
