Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, for extending a financial help of Rs 5 crore towards the State Disaster Relief Fund.

He said that the support would go a long way in providing relief to those affected by the rain disaster during this hour of distress. He added that the state government was trying to provide all possible help along with restoring damaged infrastructure like roads and bridges from its own limited resources.

Prior to this, the Assam Government had announced Rs 5 crore contribution towards the State Disaster Relief Fund. Besides, the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh had sent several truckloads of relief material for the disaster-affected families in Himachal.
