Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today asked Miss Earth India 2022 Vanshika Parmar to work for women empowerment and collaborate with the state government for the welfare of single girl child.

Vanshika called on CM Sukhu. He said Vanshika is a source of inspiration for other girls of the state. Himachali girls were excelling in various fields at the international level and are becoming idols for others, Sukhu added.

Vanshika Parmar, a native of Dhaneta village in Nadaun subdivision, Hamirpur district, was crowned Miss Earth India at the age 19 at an event organised in The Philippines in November 2022.

She has also remained the tourism ambassador of Ghana for 2023 and has worked for the state of The Philippines to promote eco-tourism.
