The Guardians of the Northern Frontiers - Surya Quest Motorcycle Expedition 2025 was warmly received by the 133 Eco Task Force at Kufri, where a plantation drive was held at the historic Kufri Heritage Pond. Expedition members, local residents, and troops participated, planting native saplings to enrich biodiversity, curb soil erosion, and rejuvenate natural water sources. The initiative underscored collective efforts to safeguard Himachal's fragile hill ecosystem. Major Lokpal of 5 SIKH highlighted the dual aim of the event - celebrating the expedition's courage while promoting ecological conservation. He said the motorcycle expedition, covering rugged Himalayan terrains, seeks to spread awareness on national integration, adventure, and environmental responsibility. The civil-military partnership, marked by the Kufri stop, reflected a strong message of unity, camaraderie, and harmony between human endeavour and nature.
