Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, has ranked among the top medical colleges in the country as per the rankings released by a leading magazine.

In a press statement issued here today, the authorities said the Tanda medical college bagged the 11th position among all medical colleges of the country.

The survey has been one of the most authentic reflection of the state and progress of colleges across the country. “It is indeed an honour for our institution to have made to the list of top medical colleges,” said Bhanu Awasthi, Principal, Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College. He said it was due to the commitment of the government of Himachal Pradesh that our institution was growing by the day.

He was thankful to the Chief Minister and the Health Minister of the state.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
