A Class VIII student drowned in the Banner Khad near Thanpuri on Sunday. Ajmair (13), a resident of Mundla Thanpuri village, had gone to the khad, and started taking bath at the confluence of the two rivers. Within minutes, he started drowning — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
