Tibetans in Shimla here today organised a ‘Thank You USA’ event to express their gratitude to the President of United States of America, Joe Biden, for signing the ‘Resolve Tibet Act’ on July 12.

The event was organised at the Tibetan School, Chotta Shimla, in which hundreds of people belonging to the Tibetan Community participated.

Tenzin, a resident, said it was a matter of pleasure that such a big bill and important has been passed for them.

The Act seeks to foster substantive dialogue without preconditions between the People’s Republic of China Government and the Dalai Lama, his representatives, or democratically elected leaders of the Tibetan community.
