Himachal Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia today said that the main objective of the judiciary is to provide timely and satisfactory justice to the victims. The Chief Justice was addressing the judicial officers, advocates and others after inaugurating a newly constructed judicial premises at Arki. The complex has been constructed at a cost of Rs 11.50 crore.

“As an institution we should all act to provide proper justice. It is essential that the cases are disposed of in a timely manner,” Justice Sandhawalia said while urging everyone to assist the judiciary in providing timely justice. He said that timely justice is a public relations motivator for advocates and judicial officers.

The Chief Justice said that access to justice for all is fundamental and better infrastructure helps in this direction. He urged the judicial officers and advocates to provide best service to victims.

Justice Ajay Mohan Goyal, while speaking on the occasion, said that victims, advocates, court personnel and judicial officers are the basic elements in the justice process. He said the victim should get timely justice in a proper environment.

He hoped that the newly constructed building will help in providing timely justice to all. “We all have to work together to simplify access to justice for all,” he said.

District and Sessions Judge, Solan, Dr Arvind Malhotra welcomed the guests.”A sound judiciary is essential for a healthy democracy,” he said and expressed his gratitude to Himachal Pradesh High Court Judge Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia for inaugurating the new judicial complex.

State High Court Judge Tarlok Singh Chauhan, state High Court Registrar General Bhupesh Sharma, Additional District and Sessions Judge Vivek Khenal, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Solan R Mihul Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh, Judicial Magistrate First Class Arki Ishani Sharma, Bar Association Arki President Joginder Thakur, Bar Association Solan President Abhishek Thakur, other dignitaries, officials and employees of various departments were present on the occasion.
