The Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, RS Bali, announced that a sum of Rs 1 crore would be sanctioned for creating tourism infrastructure at the Mata Chintpurni shrine. He was the chief guest at the second cultural night at Amb on the occasion of the ongoing three-day Mata Chintpurni festival.

Bali said Himachal Pradesh was known as “Dev Bhoomi”. He said the state government has initiated a number of programmes to develop various religious places here and provide better facilities to tourists. He said the state government had decided to develop such sites which remained untouched by tourists. He also announced a sum of Rs 25 lakhs for installing a big size LED screen near the Mata Chintpurni temple for displaying information for visitors.

Speaking on the occasion Chintpurni MLA Sudarshan Singh Babloo said Mata Chintpurni festival was being organised for the first time. He said the success of the festival could be gauged from the enthusiastic with which the people were participating in all events that were being organised here.
