Mandi, November 27

To keep tabs on the movement of offenders at tourist hotspots Kaza and Tabo in tribal district Lahaul and Spiti, the state government is spending Rs 7.50 lakh under Special Area Development Authority (SADA) to equip both these places with CCTV cameras as soon as possible.

Technical Education Minister Ram Lal Markanda told The Tribune that under SADA, the state government would spend Rs 4.50 lakh to equip the Kaza market area with CCTV camera facility. Tabo monastery, the famous tourist place in Spiti valley, would be equipped with CCTV cameras at a cost of Rs 3 lakh.
