Commuting in Shimla has become a nightmare these days because of tourist rush in the city. If one gets stuck in traffic at peak hours, the distance of few kilometres can take a couple of hours. The situation between Shogi and the Victory Tunnel is particularly bad. The police should put in efforts to control the traffic. — Vidushi, Shimla

Private buses are packed to capacity in Shimla. As many HRTC buses have been sent to Mandi for the state government’s function, commuters have to get into already packed buses to reach their destination. At a time when there’s a fear of the resurgence of Covid, it is dangerous and inconvenient.

— Devender, Shimla
