Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by the Transport Department at Shimla’s historic Ridge ground as part of a road safety campaign.

Speaking at the event, the DC praised the department’s initiative, emphasising its importance in addressing the urgent need for blood during road accidents. He noted that a readily available supply of blood in blood banks can save lives in critical situations.

He also highlighted the significance of raising awareness about blood donation through such camps, reassuring the public that donating blood is safe and beneficial. “Everyone should come forward to donate blood, as it can save lives in times of need,” he urged.

The event saw the participation of Regional Transport Officer Krishna Kumar Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Gopal Chand Sharma, and other officials, who supported the initiative and encouraged public involvement in such life-saving efforts.
