A Bhutan-bound truck carrying 1,000 cases of Black Tiger Deluxe whisky has been reported missing after it left Yamuna Beverages at Nariwala, Paonta Sahib, in Sirmaur. In his complaint lodged at the Puruwala police station in Paonta Sahib subdivision, Mohit Kumar, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, said his truck (UP-50BT-1826) carrying the consignment was destined for Gelephu, Bhutan. However, Kumar was not able to contact the truck driver as his phone was found switched off. The Global Positioning System (GPS) installed in the truck was also found to be non-operational. A senior police official said a case was registered under Section 316(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and a probe was under way.
