Two dead, one injured in Shimla car mishap

Two persons were killed, while one sustained injuries, after the car they were travelling in collided with a hill on NH-5 near Rampur in Shimla district. The deceased were identified as Kaku Singh of Damtaal village in Indora tehsil and Raju of Rewali village in Kumarsain tehsil. The injured was identified as Amar Singh of Duttnagar in Shimla district.

The accident took place on Monday near Bhera Khad when Kaku, who was driving the car lost control over it, ramming it into the hill.

A police team reached the spot upon receiving the information and rescued the injured, besides recovering the dead bodies. The injured was rushed to Mahatma Gandhi Medical Services Complex, Khaneri, where he is undergoing treatment.

Shimla Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said a case under Sections 281, 125(a), 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) had been registered and further investigation was going on. He said the victims were heading for Narkanda from Duttnagar when the accident took place.
