Two new polling stations have been set up in the Rohru Assembly constituency in Shimla. Chairing a meeting regarding the randomisation of polling stations, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap today said, “Two new polling stations have been proposed in Shimla district.”

He said the Katasari polling station had been divided into two parts. The new polling station at Katasari would be at Shalan village, he said. Besides the Kitarwari polling station had been split into two separate polling stations at the Government Primary School, Kitarwari, and the Government Secondary School, Kitarwari.

Kashyap said during the randomisation process, nine polling stations had been relocated to different buildings either due to the poor condition of the original structures or the lack of basic facilities.

The polling station at Bhont in the Chopal Assembly constituency was moved from the Government Secondary School, Bhont, to the Government Primary School, Bhont.

The polling station at Baghar Chauki was relocated from the Government Primary School, Baghar Chauki, to the Government Secondary School, Baghar Chauki. The polling station at Bholala was shifted from the Government Secondary School, Bholala, to the Government Primary School, Bholala. The polling station at Jhokhar was moved from the Government Senior Secondary School, Jhokhar, to the Government Primary School, Jhokhar.

In the Kusumpati Assembly constituency, the polling station at Chakdayal was shifted from the Cooperative Building, Bhattakufar, to the Panchayat Building. In the Shimla (Rural) Assembly segment, the polling station at Majthai-2 was relocated from the Government Senior Secondary School, Totu, to the Government Primary School, Bharyal.

The polling station at Giltari in the Jubbal-Kotkhai Assembly constituency was moved from the Navayuvak Mandal Building, Giltari, to the Panchayat House, Giltari. The polling station at Rantari in the Rohru Assembly segment was shifted from the Government Primary School, Bartu, to the Government Senior Secondary School, Bartu, and the polling station at Lakakayani was relocated from the Government Secondary School, Lakadhar, to the Government Senior Secondary School, Lakadhar.
