In an unusual move, the state government today posted two non-IAS officers as administrative secretaries. Abhishek Trivedi, a 1996-batch IPS officer, has been posted as Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment. He’s at present posted as Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order. Besides, Sushil Kumar Singla, an Indian Forest Services officer, has been posted as Secretary, Environment, Science Technology and Climate Change.
Meanwhile, Rakhil Kahlon will function as Secretary, Jal Shakti Department. Until now, she had the additional charge of the department. Ashish Singhmar, who was Secretary, Social justice and Empowerment, has been posted as Secretary, Digital Technologies and Governance.

Zaffar Iqbal, Commissioner, Dharamsala Municipal Corporation, has been given the additional charge of the post of Managing Director, Kangra Central Cooperative Bank Limited.
