Two women, including one from Haryana, have been arrested with 14.09 grams of heroin (chitta) from Jubbal Tehsil in Shimla district. The alleged accused have been identified as Maninder Kaur (38), a resident of Patri Mohalla in Jagadhari in Yamunanagar district, Haryana, and Neelam (30), a resident of Old Jubbal in Shimla district. According to the police, the accused were travelling in a car (HR 59F 0853) from Shimla side and when they reached near Khadapathar, they stopped their vehicle upon seeing a police team that was checking the traffic at Giri Kainchi. On suspicion, the police team checked their vehicle and found the contraband from their possession. Rohru DSP Ravindra Negi said a case under Sections 21 and 29-61-85 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act has been registered against them.
