Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan will be on a one-day visit to Chamba district tomorrow. A government spokesperson said that the minister would arrive at the Circuit House, Dalhousie, on Friday evening.

On Saturday, the minister would interact with the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana as well as with ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and the beneficiaries of various rural development schemes at the Circuit House.

Paswan would later chair a meeting with district officials regarding key rural development programmes, including Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and the State Rural Livelihood Mission. He would depart for Dharamsala in Kangra district on May 25.
