The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell was inaugurated at the Government Post Graduate College, Chamba, by Principal Prof Rakesh Rathore on Saturday. “We need to utilise our knowledge and resources to bring about positive changes in rural communities,” said Prof Rathore, emphasising that the initiative was aimed at facilitating rural development.

Dr Kuldeep Raj delivered a lecture on ‘A Holistic Approach to Rural Development’. Stressing the importance of economic development, education, healthcare and environmental sustainability, he stated that there is a need to focus on both education and skill development.

Vijay Kumar, the Nodal Officer of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, explained that the initiative, led by the Ministry of Education, was aimed at fostering development in rural areas. He further emphasised that the campaign serves as a bridge connecting higher education institutions with rural communities.

Special guests at the event included Prof Avinash Pal, Dr Shelly Mahajan, Dr Sachin, Ankita Dhawan, Dr Santosh Kumari, Dr Pawan Kumar and Dr Pankaj.
