A resident of Uttar Pradesh was killed after he was run over by a Haryana Roadways bus in Fagu, around 19 km from Shimla, the police said. The deceased was identified as Sarfaraz of Dabki village, Saharanpur.
A bus that was going towards Shimla from the Theog side arrived at bus stop where Sarfaraz was waiting. He attempted to board the bus. However, the driver did not open the door. Sarfaraz then ran towards the rear side of the bus carrying his bag. The driver allegedly started moving vehicle without noticing him. Sarfaraz lost his balance and was crushed under the rear wheel of the bus. He was rushed to the IGMC, Shimla, where doctors declared him brought dead.
