A youth from Uttarakhand was killed when the rope of a crane he was using to install lights on the National Highway-707 near the Badripur chowk in Paonta Sahib broke and he fell down.

The deceased has been identified as Rohit (30), resident of Vikasnagar in Uttarakhand. He was brought to the Civil Hospital, Paonta Sahib, but the doctor on duty there declared him brought dead.

Nahan Superintendent of Police Raman Kumar Meena said that a case under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code had been registered. A probe was underway to find the cause of incident.
