The Hi machal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) will introduce vedic mathematics in the school curriculum from Class VI and Sanskrit from Class III.

SK Soni, Chairman of the HPBSE, while addressing a mediapersons here today, said that in every term examination held by the board after Class VI, there would be questions of at least three marks pertaining to vedic mathematics, he added.

He said Sanskrit would be introduced from Class III. Sanskrit books had been prepared and for training, Sanskrit teachers would be recruited in DIET institutes.

Soni said that under the new education policy children after Class VI would be trained in skills in demand in their surrounding areas.—
