Miscreants have vandalised a dozen vehicles in the Sanjauli locality in Shimla, police said here today.

The incident occurred around Wednesday midnight when several miscreants broke the windshields and windows of cars parked in the Dhingudhar Colony in Sanjauli.

Locals called the police on seeing that the cars were badly damaged. They alleged that many people roam around in the area at night in an intoxicated condition and suspected they might be behind the act.

A police team from Sanjauli reached the spot to take stock of the situation. The police have also examined CCTV footage to identify the miscreants. Officials said the police were looking into the matter.
