A webinar on detective fiction, organised by the Department of English, Shoolini University, evoked keen discussions on various aspects of the genre. The webinar comprised two sessions – the first had two presentations on Edgar Allan Poe and Arthur Conan Doyle, and in the second urban landscape, female detectives, and other related issues were discussed. Speakers were from various educational institutions — Barnali Saha from Indraprastha University (Delhi), Anup Sharma from Ashoka University (Sonepat), Smitha Verghese and Savitha from Hyderabad, and Manjinder Kaur from Panjab University, among others.
