NSS Unit-I of BTC DAV College, Banikhet, organised a special seven-day camp, titled “Green India Clean India”, from February 1 to 7.

NSS Programme Officer Narender Kumar led the camp, in which 50 NSS volunteers participated. The volunteers participated in cleanliness drives organised on the college campus and Nag Devta Temple premises. The volunteers also organised the drive at Paddar ground, in which local villagers also participated.

The volunteers cleaned drains of various parts of the town and surrounding villages. A tracking expedition and plantation drive was also held. Besides, cultural the volunteers also took part in various cultural performances.

Dr Ranju Bala Patiyal motivated the participants to contribute towards society and the country by becoming responsible citizens.
