Shekhar made these remarks during a committee meeting held here yesterday.

He highlighted several innovative initiatives by the state government aimed at providing relief. He mentioned the Revenue Lok Adalats, which facilitated the resolution of long-standing land disputes directly at people’s doorstep. Additionally, a new ownership scheme has been introduced to offer land ownership rights to residents of Abadi Deh village.

Under the Chief Minister Sukh Aashray Yojana, comprehensive social security measures were being provided, covering everything from education and employment to marriage and housing for the needy children and youth, he added. The Food Supply Department was instructed to conduct a survey within three months to ensure that rations from the Public Distribution System were delivered to the elderly and sick individuals at their homes. Additionally, the Revenue Department was directed to provide land to those whose homes were destroyed in disasters. — TNS
