Crash barriers that were installed on a steep incline of around 300-400m on the Kufri-Dhalli stretch have either been broken or stolen. Due to the absence of the barriers, some fatal accidents have occurred on the stretch in the past one year or so. The authorities concerned should immediately re-instal the crash barriers.

Cracks on road

THE cracks that have developed on the Chhota Shimla-Kasumpti via Brockhurst road should be repaired soon. The road is in a poor condition for the past few months, but no restoration work has been carried out. The authorities concerned should repair this road at the earliest.

Crowded taxis

TAXIS plying on the IGMC-Sanjauli road are crowded with passengers many times due to which people, especially senior citizens, have to face a lot of inconvenience. Many times, they don’t get seats and have to travel standing, which is problematic given their age. The authorities should either ply more taxis on the route or check overcrowding.
