Garbage dumping in open areas

GARBAGE is being dumped along the pedestrian path in Palace Colony in Mandi which can lead to the spread of many diseases. Despite the MC providing door-to-door garbage collection services, some people are throwing waste in open areas and the authorities need to take stern action against such offenders. —Krishan Lal, Mandi

Bear spreads fear in village

There is a bear in Bhanoli village of Kumarsain tehsil in Shimla due to which people of the village are living in an atmosphere of fear. Residents are afraid of stepping outside their houses, especially during the evening. The bear has also completely destroyed the maize crop that was planted by villagers. The Forest Department officials should catch the bear and free the villages of the scare. —Madan, Kumarsain
