A lot of garbage has been dumped in a nullah in the Krishnanagar ward, and could choke it. Area residents are greatly inconvenienced by the foul smell the nullah gives off. The authorities concerned should clean the nullah in the interest of the area residents.

Poor civic sense at The Mall

Eat, drink, litter and be merry seems to be the ‘mantra’ of some of the people thronging The Mall. Leftovers of eatables can be spotted here, despite the fact that MC employees clear it several times a day. Eateries in the area should take an initiative advising customers to use dustbins. Such establishments should also take responsibility for clearing the area. We should inculcate good civic sense in our children.
